Een wat? Een GSA, Gay-Straight Alliance. Een groep van leerlingen en leerkrachten die er samen voor zorgen dat iedereen zich op jouw school thuis voelt. In de groep zitten mensen met verschillende seksualiteiten, homo, hetero, bi, lesbisch, trans, iedereen is welkom! Samen organiseren jullie acties om het taboe rond seksualiteit in je school te doorbreken.

Een GSA opstarten in 5 stappen:

Stap 1: Vorm een groep

Samen met een aantal geëngageerde leerlingen, dat mag iedereen zijn. Hoe anders jullie zijn, hoe beter! Betrek er zeker ook een leerkracht bij die je vertrouwt.

Stap 2: Plan een bijeenkomst

Joepie, je hebt een groep gemaakt. Plan snel je eerste bijeenkomst zodat jullie aan de slag kunnen gaan met elkaars ideeën.

Stap 3: Informeer de directie

Laat je directie weten wat je van plan bent. Misschien kan ze je helpen om de actie uit te werken en groter te maken!

Stap 4: Bedenk je eerste GSA-actie

Het belangrijkste deel! Bedenk een actie. Maak posters en hang je school ermee vol. Wees creatief en maak er iets leuks van.

Stap 5: Voer je plannen uit

Zorg dat je actie opvalt. Pak het groots aan! Maak reclame. Iedereen moet weten waar jullie mee bezig zijn.

Handige tips:

  • Maak een Facebook- of Instagram pagina van jullie GSA en laat aan de wereld zien wat jullie doen en waar jullie voor staan.
  • Maak een groepsfoto van jullie groep, het liefst met zoveel mogelijk verschillende kleuren.
  • Ga langs in de klassen van jullie school en leg uit waar jullie voor staan.
  • Verzin leuke hashtags en hang die op in de lokalen van jullie school.
  • Zorg dat de leden goed herkenbaar zijn zodat iedereen ze kan aanspreken. Een leuke badge, T-shirt, sjerp,…
